To support the Adolescent Initiative, a program which serves the unique needs of young people in foster care. Adolescents because of their age are less likely to be adopted and may age out of foster care without permanent resources and ill-prepared to live independently. Through this initiative CASA is working to ensure that all services for adolescents to whom it is assigned are in place (medical, financial, housing, employment, and education) and that they remain in foster care as long as possible while they explore community resources available for them once they leave foster care.
